Controller (12-Month Contract)

Our client is looking for a Controller for a 12-month contract. The role will require working in Toronto, 2 days a week. Job#:

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end accounting and reporting activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Prepare and review financial reporting packages for the parent company, including flash reporting and actuals submissions.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Support the team through the year-end and limited scope audit procedures.
• Coach and oversee accounting staff, including providing guidance to the senior accountant on priorities and deliverables.
• Use advanced Excel skills to manage reporting files, data mapping, linked workbooks, and variance analysis.
