Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based medical care to newborn infants, including premature, critically ill, and high-risk neonates requiring intensive care.
- Lead the clinical management of patients admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Support high-risk deliveries.
- Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, education, and clinical governance.
- Manage premature infants, low birth weight babies, critically ill newborns, and neonates with congenital anomalies or complex medical conditions.
- Attend high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitations, and emergency consultations as required.
- Lead the management of patients admitted to NICU, Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), and newborn nursery.
