Job Description:
We are a growing commercial garage door company looking for a reliable Construction Estimator to support our bidding process for new projects.
This is a long term, part time position for someone who is detail oriented and experienced in reading construction drawings.
Scope of work:
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and addenda
• Identify overhead doors, roll up doors, and counter shutters required per plans
• Read and extract information from door schedules (sizes, quantities, types)
• Verify scope changes in updated drawings or addenda
• Prepare a clear scope summary for pricing
• Send RFQs to suppliers (templates provided)
• Assist with preparing bid documents for general contractors
• Track bid deadlines and project status
