Overview

Global Risk & Compliance (GRC) is the independent risk management function at American Express. The GFCSU works within Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) to develop and implement transaction monitoring rules, investigate suspicious financial behavior, file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) with FinCEN, and manage risk related to politically exposed persons and improper payments. This role supports compliance with the BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and FCPA and assists law enforcement in combating financial crimes.
