- Act as the technical steward and maintainer for the SCIP open-source protocol
- Drive the technical roadmap and governance for the SCIP ecosystem
- Review and mentor contributors to the SCIP community
- Align with external partner organizations like Meta, Uber, and Stripe to advance the standard
- Shape Sourcegraph's product direction regarding precise code intelligence and AI agents
- Manage the SCIP toolchain and land improvements across indexer and protocol repositories
Requirements
- Senior to staff-level experience in compiler engineering or language toolchains
- Deep fluency in compiler internals, ASTs, and symbol resolution
- Proven experience leading or growing a significant open-source project or standard
- Ability to communicate technical authority in public forums (RFCs, design discussions)
