The Community Programming Assistant supports the Community Program Coordinator in delivering Community Programmes such as the Inuit Women’s Circle at Qajuqturvik Community Food Centre (QCFC).
Duties and Responsibilities
With the support of the Program Coordinator, the Community Programming Assistant is responsible for:
Assisting the Community Program Coordinator in facilitating programming meant to educate and engage community members with issues connected to food insecurity and poverty
Assisting with special events and workshops as needed
Other duties may be assigned by the Program Director.
Travel may be required.
Work is indoors (office/common space) and consists primarily of clerical work and communication with the public. Discretion is needed when dealing with sensitive and traumatic personal issues. Physical fatigue could be a consequence of mental exertion.
