Community Health Representative

The Community Health Representative (CHR) plays a key role in promoting health and wellness for infants, children, youth, and adults within the ‘Namgis community. The CHR supports a variety of community health programs through client engagement, health education, clinic coordination, outreach, and administrative support. Working closely with the Community Health Nurse and other health staff, the CHR fosters holistic approach and improved health outcomes through culturally respectful and community-centered care

Experience:

• Six months community work experience with First Nations People
• A minimum of three years experience working in a health organization
• Demonstrated ability to manage time, program scheduling
• Demonstrated “conflict resolution” and “problem solving” skills.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated computer skills
