Community Cook with Shelter Focus

Serve with purpose as a Community Cook at our shelter. Your role will involve preparing meals and creating a supportive environment for residents through dignity and interaction.
As a Cook, you will prepare a variety of nutritious meals for shelter residents while ensuring a clean and safe kitchen atmosphere. You'll work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, planning meals and managing food supplies efficiently to meet residents' needs, promoting well-being and respect within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare meals using various cooking methods
• Keep kitchen areas clean and sanitary
• Liaise actively within a multidisciplinary team
• Plan and estimate food portions and costs
• Assist with meal transport and preparation
Requirements:
• Minimum one year of related experience
• Class 5 Driver's Licence and insured vehicle
• HEP B Vaccination is mandatory
• First Aid, CPR, and Food Safe certifications
