Communications and SCADA Technician

TransEd Valley Line LRT is the first piece of the Valley Line project in Edmonton. Connecting Millwoods to downtown Edmonton, the valley line allows commuters to go from the South East of Edmonton to anywhere the LRT stops.

A typical day for the Communications and SCADA Technician

• Repair, operation and maintenance of Communications and Signalling equipment
• Provide technical expertise to subcontractors, project team members and less experienced personnel
• Troubleshoot equipment and operation of portable test equipment, testing devices and special tools to support activities
• Undertake other duties related to the environment of the power assets or of work as specified by the System Operations Manager in a safe manner
