Responsibilities
Select suppliers for existing products using proven procurement skills in an automotive environment (TS*****, AIAG).
Reduce year over year costs through aggressive negotiations, resourcing, market testing, value analysis, long term agreements, business incentives, annual improvement factors, and supply base management.
Recommend supplier process utilization by interpreting blueprints and evaluating customer needs.
Explore and pursue cost reduction opportunities using cost-model tools and bubble charts.
Explore available and new technologies in the market and implement best practices related to purchasing activities.
Develop new suppliers that meet BW cost, quality and delivery requirements.
Prepare and lead RFQs for multi year full production quantities.
Evaluate part designs with engineering, quality, and suppliers to obtain optimum efficiencies.
