Commerce Solutions Architect (Barcelona)

At Merkle, a dentsu company, we power the experience economy. We are looking for a hands‑on Commerce Architect to design and oversee a highly scalable e‑commerce infrastructure on AWS. You will bridge the gap between complex business requirements (merchandising, checkout, inventory) and cloud‑native technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Strategy: Design and maintain a cloud‑native architecture using AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EKS, CloudFront) to support high‑volume transaction processing.
• Commerce Integration: Lead the architectural design for integrating our commerce engine with third‑party systems, including ERPs, PIMs, OMS (Order Management), and Payment Gateways (Stripe/Adyen/PayPal).
• Performance & Scalability: Architect solutions for bursty traffic (product drops, holiday sales), utilizing auto‑scaling, caching strategies (Redis/ElastiCache), and CDNs.
