Job Description
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, building, automating, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services. The role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and cloud-native best practices to enable rapid, reliable delivery of platforms and services. The engineer works closely with DevOps, security, and application teams to support CI/CD pipelines, optimize costs, enforce governance, and improve system reliability. Infrastructure Automation: 90% of cloud infrastructure is provisioned via IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) with zero manual production changes outside approved pipelines. Infrastructure deployment time is reduced by at least 40% through automated CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes.
