The successful candidate will work within the Urology team and will play an important part in supporting the middle grade rota, fellow trainees, furthering their research aspirations but will also be able to develop their clinical and specialist operative urology skills. Successful applicants will be based at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy and Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline. Research will be focused on BPH as NHS Fife opens its National Treatment Centre for BPH.
Candidates will have set time for research and will be supervised by an established academic team with support from the University of St Andrews. Multiple RCTs (including NIHR trials) are running within the unit and very well supported by a proactive research team and the prospective candidate should be prepared to take an active role in this.
