Duties and responsibilities
- Assemble parts using jigs and established work methods, or assemble sub-components with a limited number of parts
- Read production orders and manufacturing drawings
- Position components for welding
- Set up and calibrate welding equipment
- Perform welds according to established specifications and parameters
- Grind and finish welds to meet quality standards
- Inspect completed parts to ensure compliance with requirements
- Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
