Position Summary
We are looking for a professional and safety-oriented Class 1 Truck Driver Shunt/Forklift Operator, you will have the ability to work well with minimal supervision and have a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks promptly and safely. Primary responsibility is to efficiently move and relocate trailers and containers within our transportation yard or facility. Duties include performing shunting maneuvers to position trailers for loading and unloading, ensuring the timely and safe transfer of cargo between storage areas and dock doors.
Schedule
Rotating Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Shift Timing: 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
What you will do
- Comply with Yard and Dock Safety practices, policies, and procedures
- Responsible for the safe movement or shunting of empty and loaded trailers to and from docks within the yard, or to and from the yard
- Safe operation of shunt equipment
