Claims Coordinator

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities****The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following**:- Examining, processing, and calculating medical claims insuring filings, documentation, and reports- Assisting claimants, providers, and clients with problems or questions regarding their claims and/or policies- Process claims reimbursements for gap.
- Transfer deductibles- Help file Short- and Long-Term Disability Claims- Assist with Medication Issues- Assist with authorizations.
- Verify benefits.
- Provide insurance information to providers.
- Assist with appeals.
**Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)**- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Six to 12 months of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as medical and drug manuals, and procedure manuals.
