The Child and Family Services Protection Worker is responsible for ensuring the delivery of child and protection services to all the children living in the Touchwood Child and Family Services member nations, safeguarding the safety and wellbeing of children in care, and working with families to address identified issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ongoing management of cases in accordance with agency policy.
• Act on all reports of child abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
• Place children in need of protection with alternate caregivers.
• Provide counselling and support services.
• Ensure appropriate placement resources are available and that children in care are supervised and monitored appropriately.
• Develop, continuously review, and update case plans as needed.
• Complete a comprehensive family social history and genogram with the family and maintain on file...
