Chief Steward – Responsibilities
- Lead the stewarding team, ensuring operational efficiency and high staff engagement.
- Establish and implement a loss‑prevention system to minimize breakages and equipment losses.
- Conduct regular spot checks on food and beverage areas to maintain hygiene and sanitization standards.
- Inspect back‑of‑house areas—including receiving, kitchens, steward storerooms, and dish rooms—to ensure compliance with hotel and municipal sanitation, safety, and appearance rules.
Qualifications
- Passionate about food and beverage.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and fluency in English and the local language.
- In-depth understanding of restaurant operation and management.
- Proven experience leading by example and fostering team cohesiveness.
