About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Chief Electrician to join our vessel operations team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing all onboard electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient vessel operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Engineer and play a key role in supporting critical shipboard systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Remain on call while the vessel is in service to respond to electrical issues as required
- Report to the Chief Engineer at the start of each shift to identify priorities and urgent maintenance needs
- Inspect, maintain, and repair all electrical equipment onboard
- Collaborate with Engineers or Oilers when electrical repairs involve mechanical components
- Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a just-cause safety culture.
