Job Description
A Kitchen staff provides assistance in the preparation of food and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of dishes, workstations, food and ingredients and food storage facilities. He/she performs all the cleaning, washing, and preparation duties required in kitchens. They assist cooks and kitchen supervisors with all tasks necessary to ensure that kitchen operation runs smoothly.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware and utensils. Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and other dishes.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation area before using it. Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to the established standards of hygiene.
