Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Chef Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to‑day food service operations at the Donald Gordon Hotel and Conference Centre. This role includes planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating all aspects of the operation, while providing strong leadership and guidance to a team of food service associates.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth day‑to‑day operation, with flexibility to support front‑line duties as needed for hotel guest meals, meetings and public catering functions such as weddings, conferences, etc.
- Manage and direct a unionized team of up to 6 cooks and dishwashers
- Implement and lead compliance on all Aramark operating standards, legislated standards, including company policies and procedures, Health and Safety Standards and Safe Food Handling
