Black + Blue is looking for 2 full time, permanent CDPs to join the team at 1032 Alberni Street, Vancouver.

Job Overview

• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
• Estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies prepare and cook food on a regular basis
• Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
• Assist to recruit, hire and train staff
• Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, for special guests and functions
• Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
• Supervise kitchen workers
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
• May plan menus and requisition food and kitchen supplies

Key Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position and environment (including 1 year training, supervising)
• Ability to communicate in English
