Ceramics Studio Technician

J Responsibilities

• Ceramics tutoring & class designing
• Plan exhibitions and events including artist workshop
• Kiln loading and unloading, and firing of ceramic pieces
• Design and produce AIA ceramic product for retails purposes
• Sets up, cleans, and demonstrates the use of equipment and instruments
• Maintains inventories, orders supplies in accordance with purchasing procedures
• Monitor and ensure a clean and safe working environment, with regular upkeep of work area, equipment, supplies, and materials
• Any other assigned ad-hoc duties.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Candidates with at least a diploma or degree in 3D art-related qualifications, especially pottery
• Possess intermediate knowledge of ceramics (throwing, trimming, and glazing)
• Able to make sake sets and teapot sets
