Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a positive attitude and assist them as needed
- Operate cash registers, scanners, and POS (Point-of-Sale) systems
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy
- Resolve customer issues or elevate them to a manager when necessary
- Answer customer questions regarding store policies, products, or services
- Bag or package purchases and ensure items are handled with care
- Monitor and report any discrepancies or suspicious activity
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus
