Cashier

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly service.
• Scan and process purchases accurately using a cash register or POS system.
• Handle cash, credit/debit card, and digital payment transactions securely.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and report any discrepancies.
• Assist customers with product inquiries and general questions.
• Bag or package purchases carefully.
• Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
• Follow company policies on pricing, promotions, and security.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
• Experience: Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus but not always necessary.
• Skills:
• Strong math and cash-handling skills.
