- Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide a friendly shopping experience.
- Scan, weigh, and price items accurately.
- Process payments via cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and other methods.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout counter.
- Bag or package purchases appropriately.
- Assist customers with inquiries and resolve basic complaints.
- Check identification for age-restricted products (e.g., alcohol, tobacco).
- Follow cash handling procedures.
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
- Previous experience in customer service or cashiering is a plus but not always necessary.
