Job Summary
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is required. The role is located in construction settings covering renovation and residential projects across various locations.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
- Work at heights, in confined spaces, noisy and dusty environments.
- Handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, kneel, sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
- Work with minimal supervision, meet tight deadlines, and maintain quality standards.
