Career Consultant, Diversity Programs

Overview

• Support students in developing their career strategy by communicating tools and frameworks to help them focus on career goals and create a feasible action plan.
• Provide one-on-one career and employment consulting consistent with the needs of undergraduate and graduate students.
• Assist clients in developing effective employment and job search techniques, including skills identification, employer research and networking.
• Support clients in making meaningful career choices by assessing values, interests, personality and skills.
• Identify individual client needs and refer to appropriate student support services.
• Research, develop and deliver presentations on career planning and employment preparation.
• Build relationships with students and alumni in mid and senior level positions and facilitate networking opportunities among students and alumni/contacts in industry.
