About the role
As Buyer, you will conduct the purchase of all materials required for manufacturing (tools, machinery, supplies, etc) as well as raw materials required in the San Agustin Plant.
Main responsibilities
- Contact with suppliers for quotation request, cost comparison, studies, and discount negotiation, technical aspects and delivery terms, if the goods are not categorized.
- Prepare and follow up purchase orders. Forward updated specifications to the suppliers.
- Make the raw material purchases according to the SAP material requisitions, scheduling the supplies to minimize inventories without stopping production.
- Have close communication with the SNP Planners to be aware of planning changes and notice of any raw materials shortage to avoid production disruptions.
- Keep updated the SAP system with machinery, tools and raw materials supplier data.
