***The Buyer II will plan and procure material to meet customer requirements at an optimal cost.Maintaining inventory levels, addressing shortages, and supporting product evolution are daily functions.This role is responsible for securing the necessary materials to meet the needs of our customers and the business.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**- Daily Purchase orders review, release and confirmation.
- Monitor and execute exception messages in a timing manner (Pull ins, reschedule outs and cancellations)- Monthly forecast review and distribution to critical/strategic suppliers.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance, days on hand and related quality issues.
- Daily coordination of information between planning, production, purchasing and shipping.
- Develop in-depth knowledge on parts/commodities managed to aid in expedites and suggest part deviations to resolve shortages and mitigate high risk situations.
