About the role
The position of Buyer I is responsible for procurement and process application as it supports Insight’s operations and order fulfillment. The role includes working on operational issues with suppliers, providing strong client service, and maintaining data accuracy within SAP.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchase order lifecycle by reviewing open POs, updating backlog status, maintaining accurate ETAs, and posting goods receipts/invoices in SAP.
- Coordinate with vendors through multiple channels to obtain shipment updates, tracking details, and estimated ship dates.
- Monitor daily reports and support back-order management, including order switching and timely follow-ups to ensure order completion.
