Join OSM Thome as Bosun (BSN) on a car carrier trading worldwide. Lead the deck crew, keep the vessel safe and seaworthy, and support smooth cargo operations for global car transport.
- **Key responsibilities**:
- Lead and supervise deck ratings in all deck work
- Organize and carry out mooring, unmooring and anchoring operations
- Oversee lashing, securing and safety of car carrier cargo
- Plan and perform deck maintenance, painting and repair jobs
- Keep deck equipment, tools and gear in good working order
- Follow all onboard safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
- **Requirements**:
- Valid Bosun / Rating certificates and seaman’s book
- Recent experience as Bosun on car carriers or similar vessels
- Good seamanship and strong leadership of deck crew
- Medical fitness and STCW certificates as per international standards
- Good English communication skills
- Willingness to work worldwide and follow company safety standards
