The Bonds Specialist is responsible for receiving, managing, and following up on bond openings and cancellations for shipments originating from Canada and destined for Laredo or other border points.
This role ensures timely bond processing and coordination between operations, carriers, customs brokers, and customers.
**Key Responsibilities and Duties**
- Receive bonds created by shippers or carriers and compile them with invoices.
- Send bonds to the appropriate customer broker and follow up on timely bond cancellations.
- Ensure all shipment information is complete and accurate before submitting bonds for delivery.
- Respond to consignee/customer inquiries regarding bond changes, clarifications, or issues.
- Release deliveries to the consolidation dock once bond cancellations are confirmed.
