Job Description

The ideal team player will operate the boiler daily in compliance with all statutory regulations, procedures and company requirements. Daily Boiler duties include operating, maintenance, health and safety and good housekeeping.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Min 2 years' experience as a Boiler Operator

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the work area is ready for start-up before the shift commences according to the start-up procedure.
• Ensure the area is shut down after the last shift of the day according to the shutdown procedure.
• Ensure daily documentation required is printed and available.
• Minimize downtime to a minimum.
• Monitor daily shift operational compliance.
• Maintain and observe correct water and steam levels during shift.
