About the Role
Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Operations, the Blaster, Long Hole will be responsible for loading explosives in blast holes by hand, preparing blast faces, tying in to the pattern, connecting electrical waves, and detonating cords into series. The candidate will partner with the Supervisor to coordinate strategic support to keep the mine operating safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a strong safety culture.
- Promote and consistently implement company safety policies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate shift records.
- Perform work area housekeeping duties.
- Maintain a safe work area free of hazards.
- Perform Field Level Risk Assessments.
- Complete proper pre‑op inspection on all equipment.
