Job Summary Under general supervision, the MWR Technician – Bar Tenders coordinates activities required to operate Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) facilities Principal Accountabilities (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.) Must meet the installation's minimum serving age (21) for alcoholic beverages
Capable of pouring and serving drinks such as beer and wine
Capable of mixing drinks according to the establishment’s specified recipes
Capable of preparing garnishes
Understand alcohol safety procedures to prevent over-intoxication
Knowledge of basic bar terminology
Capable of standing for several hours at a time
Understands state’s laws for required identification prior to serving alcoholic beverages
Able to properly handle intoxicated patrons according to established guidelines
