**Job Description**
The Band Saw Operator primarily runs a vertical band saw to perform angle cuts on structural steel while also handling materials, assisting the welding team, operating a sit-down forklift, and performing general cleanup duties. **Responsibilities**
Operate a vertical band saw for approximately 80% of the workday to perform angle cuts on structural steel components such as C channel, I-beam, and other steel objects.
Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and bills of material to determine correct measurements, angles, and cutting requirements.
Handle and move pipe, raw metal, and finished product throughout the facility using appropriate material handling methods and equipment.
