AWS Cloud Engineer

For our client we are looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer for a long‑term project in a high‑performance team. This role plays a part in a large AWS project and works with a distributed team across Switzerland and a nearshore centre. Hybrid office attendance is preferred; the client has two locations close to Zurich and Geneva.

Key Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related infrastructure role
• Deep hands‑on expertise in AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda)
• Proficiency in Terraform, including module design, state management, and environment promotion
• Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab
• Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of complex problems
• Ability to work on shift
