Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Automation Engineer (Automation Equipment Design) located in Tijuana. The Automation Engineer role involves specifying, designing and maintaining automation equipment, tooling and applications as required to meet specifications.
Responsibilities
- Design of automatic equipment.
- Fixtures, poka-yokes and production floor support.
- Understand machine operating standards, consequences of wear and tear parts and product defects.
- Ensure uptime of machines through regular preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance.
- Willingness to learn and enhance skills in all types of automation equipment.
- Prepare why‑why evaluations and drive for permanent corrective actions.
- Provide feedback to improve design of process and equipment.
