Automation Engineer (1 year contract)

Objectives of the Position

BASF Shared Services Center Kuala Lumpur provides functional services in Finance, Controlling, Information Services, Human Resources, Environment, Health & Safety, Procurement, and Import-Export Order Management to BASF companies in the Asia‑Pacific region. The Global Technology Unit (GTU) seeks an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and support automation solutions and contribute to a global community of practice.

Main Tasks

• Design, implement and support automated workflows using UiPath RPA, Microsoft Power Automate and related technologies.
• Integrate automation solutions with enterprise systems (SAP, SharePoint, APIs, databases, cloud services) via REST APIs and connectors.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and map end‑to‑end business processes, identify automation opportunities.
• Define automation scope, requirements and success criteria aligned with business objectives.
