Associate Chemist

Element has an opportunity for a Chemistry Technician for testing, sample preparation and delivery/collection of samples and preparation of test reports.

• Prepare soil and environmental samples for chemical analysis (drying, grinding, sieving, digestion and extraction).
• Perform routine laboratory analyses using standard test methods and SOPs.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, including ICP-OES, ICP-MS, AAS, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, pH and conductivity meters.
• Prepare reagents, calibration standards and quality control samples.
• Conduct instrument calibration, routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Record and review analytical data accurately in laboratory worksheets or LIMS.
• Perform quality control checks and ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
