Position Overview
The Adventure Studies Department invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor with a primary focus on the Mountain, Rock, and Ski Programs.
This position is intended for a highly experienced mountain professional with established credentials in guiding, avalanche safety, and expedition leadership, who is also committed to excellence in post-secondary teaching.
The successful applicant will contribute to a comprehensive adventure studies program delivering integrated classroom and field-based education in complex, agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct field courses in mountaineering, ski touring, and rock climbing.
- Teach a minimum of 2 upper and/or lower-level classroom courses per year such as expedition planning, adventure activities, adventure tourism industry, guiding leadership, and/or adventure operations.
