Overview

Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC) is part of the integrated TransLink enterprise and operates a fleet of clean‑fuel and zero‑emission vehicles in Metro Vancouver. The vacancy is for a SeaBus Operations Manager who will oversee day‑to‑day operations and ensure safe, reliable ferry services.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager in day‑to‑day SeaBus operations, ensuring effective, safe, reliable and efficient ferry services to passengers and terminal operations. Implement safe work practices and maintain close liaison with SeaBus Engineering staff to minimize service disruption.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (Canada Shipping Act, Port Metro Vancouver Harbour Master, Lloyd’s Register). Monitor ongoing projects, harbour conditions, traffic‑hampered vessels, weather and other factors; regulate ferry traffic and recommend actions for anticipated problems.
