Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Care (DOC) in the implementation and evaluation of nursing department quality improvement initiatives, risk management systems, data collection and analysis, report writing, and procedural updates.
• Lead the coordination and implementation of best practice and risk management initiatives related to resident care, including falls, restraint use, wound management, and infection control.
• Effectively manage the utilization of nursing supplies.
• Be responsible for the High Intensity Needs program.
• Maintain a system of care assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation at the resident and unit program level to maximize staff resources and support an interdisciplinary team approach to resident care.
