Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and enhance university‑level safety policies, standards, and governance frameworks for research institutes and infrastructure‑related projects and activities.
• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of safety and health management systems across research centres, including coordinating risk‑based prioritisation of safety initiatives and improvement programmes.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of safety and health officers overseeing construction, facilities, and infrastructure safety programmes across the university.
• Provide professional and strategic advice to senior management, deans, school chairs, heads of department, and principal investigators on high‑risk, novel, or complex research activities and infrastructure safety matters.
