Assistant Controller

Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team on a contract basis in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting accounting operations and assisting with a major system implementation. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial reporting, reconciliation, and Oracle-based systems, along with a background in higher education.

Responsibilities:
• Support the implementation and migration activities of Oracle Cloud systems.
• Perform general accounting duties, including month-end close processes and journal entries.
• Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy in account reconciliations.
• Assist with financial reporting, audits, and validation of data during system transitions.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth go-live and stabilization phases.
