Job Description
The Area Manager reports to the Ship Manager and is responsible for managing and directing all production activities within a specific Ship. The position must ensure safety, quality, cost and schedule adherence of the blocks and zones within the area in order to contribute to efficient operations. This position will require daily liaison with Safety, Quality & Accuracy Control, and Trade Personnel.
Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 50 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for the safety of all employees working in assigned Area during the construction process. This includes a key focus on area housekeeping and set up of services.
- Communicates HSEQ plans to General Supervisors and ensures that all Area employees look to eliminate safety hazards at every opportunity.
