Job Summary
A metal worker responsible for reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements, measuring and marking sheet metal, supervising other workers, cutting materials, assembling, erecting and installing hoisting and rigging equipment, and installing sheet metal products and flashings at various heights and outdoor locations.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
- Measure and mark sheet metal according to template.
- Supervise other workers.
- Cut materials using power tools or by hand.
- Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment.
- Fit and join sheet metal parts.
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
