Our client, an employee-owned, multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm, is seeking an Archaeologist to join their growing Ecology and Environmental Impact Assessment Department in their Winnipeg office. This is a permanent full-time position offering a base salary commensurate with experience along with a competitive benefits and vacation package with RRSP matching and a bonus program.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a permit holder, as recognized by the provincial regulator
- Supervise the completion of Heritage Resource Impact Assessments in Manitoba
- Conduct basic archaeological fieldwork tasks (pedestrian survey, test pitting, documentation, artifact analysis, report preparation)
- Supervise small crews of 2-6 people as they carry out archaeological fieldwork tasks and ensure their quality of work meets the methods and ethics set out in provincial regulations
