Position Summary

Install electrical systems in new and existing buildings, including retrofit projects, in a construction setting.

Working Conditions

May include restricted movement, dirty environments, hazardous materials, moderate physical duties, and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new and existing installations.
• Cut, bend, thread, and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings.
• Pull wire through conduits and ceiling spaces.
• Install, replace, and repair electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems, remove and replace faulty components.
• Splice, join, and connect wire to components to form complete control systems.
